How to Grill a Baked Potato

Not everyone knows how to cook. To some, even the simple thingsĀ  can seem so trivial.

One of my favorite summer activities is grilling. I love to cook all of my food on my grill…

Here is how to bake a potato on a grill.

How to Grill a Baked Potato…

  1. Clean potatoes
  2. Poke holes into each potato with a fork
  3. Wrap in aluminum foil
  4. Place on the top rack of grill for 45 minutes.

Italian Dressing

Italian dressing is great on salads or makes a great marinade.

I love to a good steak that has been marinade in Italian Dressing!

Add some corn on the cob, baked potato and a garlic bread and it makes an amazing steak even more amazing!

Italian Dressing Ingredients:

  • 1 & 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. onion powder
  • 2 tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground basil
  • 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. dried celery


  1. Mix all ingredients in a air tight container.
  2. Use 2 tbsp. of Italian Dressing mix, 1/4 cup vinegar, 2 tbsp. water and 2/3 cup olive oil.
  3. Marinade a steak for at least an hour (longer is better), grill as long as desired.

Ranch Dressing


I am a bit obsessed with Ranch Dressing.

I will have a salad just so I can have Ranch Dressing type of obsessed. I can go through a thing of Ranch Dressing every other week…that adds up pretty quick. (Because I’m a huge nerd) Let’s do the math… At Meijer a bottle of Ranch Dressing cost $3.88, I buy a bottle every other week, so that’s $1.94 a week. That makes about $100.88 a year, I can purchase the ingredients for a homemade recipe for way cheaper than that a year, I don’t know the exact figure since I use my spices for everything.



  • 1 cup real mayo
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp dried chives
  • 3 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried dill weed
  • Milk (as desired)


  1. Mix mayo, sour cream, olive oil and lemon juice.
  2. Add spices and combine well.
  3. Add milk as desired to thin.
  4. Refrigerator for at least a hour before serving.
